From August 1, new developments regarding the highway network will come into effect in Slovakia. One of the important changes is that from August 1, 2024, the highway sections that avoid the big cities will be free to use.
This affects approximately two hundred kilometers of highway sections, including in the vicinity of Bratislava, Nyitra, Kassa, Eperjes, Poprád, Zsolna and Csáca.
In addition, the one-day motorway sticker will be introduced, which is a favorable solution for occasional travelers and those traveling through the country.
Furthermore, the annual sticker, which until now was valid from January 1 to January 31 of the following year, will be abolished. Instead, they only keep the 365-day sticker, which allows customers to freely choose the start date of validity.
